UB produces new electrical engrs. and master electrician

The University of Bohol College of Engineering and Technology, had produced new electrical engineers and a master electrician who successfully passed in a separate board examinations given last September 2008.

Engr. Liberato H. Lupot, Jr., dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, disclosed the names of the new electrical engineers as follows: Engr. Expedito V. Cadeliña and Engr. Mario C. Genson, and new Master Electrician Mark Anthony G. Pingkian

UB chalks 100% passing average on caregiver exam

The University of Bohol, College of Allied and Medical Sciences- Caregiver Program had posted a perfect passing average when nine of her examinees all passed the Assessment Examination for Caregivers NC II given last August 5, 2008.

Dr. Jeimylo de Castro, Dean of the College of Allied and Medical Sciences bared the list of the new caregivers, namely: Ellen A. Basilad, Jovelen P. Bufe, Jacellou Blasco, Retha Sol M. Blasco, Ramona Lisa B. Estillore, Jesenette L. Jamora, Marissa G. Pacatang, Herberta M. Sebidan and Marie Shiela B. Sy.

Presently in the province, only the University of Bohol offers a caregiver program in a university level category . Under this level, the students aside from the usual classroom discussions can also avail of: medical/dental services, fully air-conditioned lecture rooms, complete library, student services wherein the students have their assigned guidance counselors, equipped Instructional Media Center ,and efficient internet centers. The school have also specialize training centers for the practicum to include; University of Bohol Medical Rehabilitation Center, IMAP Lying-in Center for Obstetrics and Pediatric, Ramiro Community Hospital for in-patient exposure and Soledad Suites for hotel exposure, and home care.

The University of Bohol accepts qualified scholars of Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Aroyo – Training for Workshop Program (PGMA-TWSP) who are interested to enroll in the Caregiver Program..

Grad placed 8th in forestry board exam

Domingo E. Sobiono, a graduate of the then College of Forestry of the university and a resident of Cantubod, Danao, Bohol recently passed and placed number 8 in the July 2008 Board Examination for Forester.

The new forester is presently working at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Provincial Office (PENRO).

New pharmacists bared

The University of Bohol College of Pharmacy had produced seven new pharmacists who successfully passed the June 2008 Licensure Examination for Pharmacist.

Dean Eva B. Campeciño bared the names of the successful examinees as follows: Mary Grace G. Apac, Poblacion, Maribojoc; Precy Rose C. Batac, Villa Limpia, Loay; Nova G. Del Rosario, San Jose, Talibon; Janice Y. Janson, Bool Dist., Tagbilaran; Michelle B. Makinano, Candabong, Anda; Josie Chris C. Obafial, Rowena Village, Lawis, Inabanga; and Maria Melanie D. Orapa, Candabong , Loboc.

To note, the University of Bohol is the only institution in the whole province of Bohol who is offering pharmacy course. The College had also produced board topnotchers.
